Template FTP Upload - Ascii or Binary
Hello all.

I'm a Links Ext. user just moved over to latest Links SQL.

I'd like to modify my templates and upload them via FTP.

Do I upload in binary or ascii? If was important in Links Ext. 2.0

I believe I upload right to the admin/templates/av directory for an Alta Vista default.

Boy is it great to have a forum again!

April

P.S. thought I saw a post on this, but couldn't find it again.

All text files should be uploaded in ASCII

Binary files, ie files that are unreadable if you open them in a text editor (like images etc) are uploaded in binary.

Thanks. I always thought it was strange that you had to upload the Links 2 Ext Template HTML files in binary.

Appreciate the post. I know it was a wierd question.
