I made a new install of 2.05 and imported a backup of my 2.03 data

Now I have the situation that searches by "query" don´t show the right results.
"query" seems to search only the regular fields, not my customized fields.

When I go to 2.05 Admin>SQL-Server-Settings and change the database to the 2.03 db
I can run searches using query and get results of the customized fields.

There must be something because of the import that I cannot search the cusomized fields by query. But I can search the customized fields using the field name, for example ?query=&Country=Russia This works, but ?query=Russia not!

Any idea?

Hi,

If you go to Database->Links->Properties, do your custom columns show up? If not, click on Resync Database, and you should be ok.

the custom columns are shown complete. I runned resync, repair tables and rebuild search, without result.

Query-search only search in standard columns.


I´m very sure that after importing the 2.03db the query search worked. I tested it while creating a special-search-form. When I finished my template customization I added a new category and some new links for this category.
I think after this work the query search stopped searching the customn columns.

Did you put a "weight" in the fields you wanted searched before re-indexing but after resyncing? THat's the only thing I see missing from your description above.

I did not manipulate the entries. I mentioned before, I imported the data from 2.03 and made some customizations, also I created a special search form with some range searches (using -lt and -gt) for customized columns.

I´m absolutely sure that the query search worked! I tried if people can search for Moscow with mos and Mos, I played around a lot to have a good search-form with many options.
When I saw that everything seems to be ok, I switched from 2.03 to the new 2.05 install and used it for my project and continued working. I added new category with some new records in this category.

Later I saw that query-search does not work longer.

Hi Alex,

I still have the problems with query-search and hidden checkbox-values in modify template.

There must be connection with importing 2.03db into 2.05 and after that adding new records. Maybe something is corrupted.

Is there a way to check or repair db.

(Repair tables and Rebuild search did not help)
