User logon cookie problems...
I have several editors who have complained that my Links SQL won't remember their login information and that they have to login each time with their username and password. I also have the gforum installed and this problem doesn't happen there. Is there a way to make Links work like the Forum so that a cookie can be set to retain the info for that user?

I do have cookies turned on in my setup.

Thanks.

Hi,

I'm not sure if this helps, but:

If you're using 'static' pages then the "Login" prompt will appear on all your category page bottom toolbars, as opposed to "Logout" because the category pages are built as HTML.

If you use 'dynamic' mode (page.cgi) then the login/logout prompt will work as expected because the category pages will be built 'on-the-fly' by page.cgi and take account of the editors cookie.

Just thought I'd mention it in case it helps :)

All the best
Shaun

I've changed it so that the cookie won't expire for 1000 hours and I'm still having the same difficulty. What part of Links SQL sets the cookie? Is there a way to make the cookie permanent? Thanks.
