Have flipped thru the "detailed pages" posts I could find, but found no solution.

I would like to build detailed pages only within certain categories and not within the others? I assume this is doable? any one tried it ? got a hack?

I have this running using pugdog detailed page plug in and the category templete feature within links SQL..where you use loop link in the categories you wanna use detailed pages at..

OK having made the jump to LSQL only a couple of days ago.. you lost me with that stuff..:) Haven't got my head around "loops" yet.

Just to make the question clearer...

I dont use the jump.cgi(link with a straight href)
I want to build detailed pages only in some cats/sub-cats and not have to build them for the other cats.
Link to the detailed page will be a href as well.

You refer to PugDog detail plug in. I find two there, Which do you mean?

And can you provide a bit more detail as to how you got this to work, please?

There's a page in the Resources section describing how to build detailed pages from certain links but not others (as well as how to configure multiple types of detailed pages), although this wouldn't let you designate links with/without detailed pages by category...

The one I use is :

Detailed_Page Plug-in



The why it works is to create a templete for that category by copying your category templete then replace <%links%> with a loop.

Do you mean a categories from different top level category?

or do you mean a specific category and all its sub categories?
