Official Release?
RE:

'Update the plugins - This version will break any plugins that add their own .cgi file. We have gone through all the plugins and tested them locally, and will be updating them shortly.'

Are you are making final changes to these and other items that's why you haven't officially announced L 2.1.0 final?

Just curios as to what happened to the announcement.

Hi,

The announcement is finally up. =)

We wanted to get all the plugins updated. Currently the Spider still needs a few changes to work with 2.1.0, but otherwise the plugins from Gossamer will work.

Cheers,

Alex

That's great Alex, thanks for your continued hard work.

In the changlog file, you mention an update to the Manual.doc. Are you making this document available as I don't see it in the login download area.

Thanks,

I was only going to put the pdf file up there. Did you want the doc version for any particular reason?

Cheers,

Alex

Yes if you could or send it to me.

PDF files don't run well on my computer as I have a very low spec machine.

Thanks,

Do we have to redo the plugins as well?

Alex,

Downloaded the docs and printed them out this morning. I am really impressed with them. Thyperlinks in the pdf version are great feature. I am much more comfortable reading the printed version when there are problems and I also have space to write notes on the printed version.

Great Job!!

Before I upgrade, I need to know if we have to do anything with any plugins we are using to let them continue to work. Iam using bad_link, days_old, MyLinks_SQL, and SearchLogger.

Not sure about the other plugins, but I had MyLinks_SQL working fine on 2.1.

You aren't far off.

Out of several hundred downloads I think a couple have paid.

What they don't know is that as someone who has plugins on GT's server I have access to an admin page that lists everyone who has downloaded my plugins, so I know who ya are Cool

I'm sorry, I didn't realize any of the plugins are shareware...which one is it?

Hi RedRum,

Your MyLinks_SQL plugin is producing an error with LinkSQL 2.1.0 Here is it:

Code:
A fatal error has occured:

Can't call method "param" on an undefined value at /home/virtual/mysite/home/httpd/CGIFiles/headlines/admin/Plugins/MyLinks_SQL/Favorites.pm line 26.

Please enable debugging in setup for more details.

Your Recommend it plugin is also giving me a 404 error!

I would appreciate it if you can help me with that.

Hi,

That's caused by using $IN before calling Links::init('/path/to/admin').

Check Alex's "HEads up" message in the plug-ins area for how to do it.

Also, I posted a way to make the changes for detail_page.cgi, which should apply to all similar scripts.
