Hi All

I would like to integrate LinksSQL with a shopping system.

The cart that I would like to use is a php app that uses mysql.

1. Would this be a big undertaking do you think?

2. What types of things have to be blended, and which can be left alone?

3. I'm concerned about session id's. How would I get the two programs to share the same session file?

4. Should I build php pages instead of html?

I you have a bit of patience, wait for GT's own shopping cart, which is currently being developped. It integrates very nicely with Links SQL!

It would have to be so incredibly comprehensive to fit our needs:

1. Multi-supplier capability (lots and lots of details here)

2. Lots more multi-this, multi-that capability.....

3. Seriously comprehensive shipping scheme....very complex options...haven't found a shopping system yet that can do all that we need

4. Easy bulk handling of product creation, product updates, order exports, and order updates.

Bulk handling is a SERIOUS factor.

5. Easy payment gateway integration, both for Direct and Redirect methods

6. Tons and tons and tons more issues.....tons and tons more features for a really comprehensive system.

I have examined several hundred systems, from little rinky-dink things to some pretty impressive, flexible systems, but not one of them could do all that we needed.
