I need to import about 4000 categories from links 2 (flat db) to links SQL.
Do I need first to create the extra columns in linksSQl to match those in Links2 or it will automatically creates the needed columns?
Also, where and how can I import the dbs of links2 to linkssql..?

If you look at the import page, there's a setting: "Recreate Non-standard Columns". Just make sure that's enabled when you import. You probably want to disable the "Clear Tables" option if you're importing into a populated database.
