How can I get a 'Related Categories' column with a multi-select list?
Although there is a table called CatRelations, it does not appear in the 'Add Category' admin form.

But there are numerous references to related categories in the forums, which makes me think I have missed something obvious.

OK, I mised it.

If you edit categories through the 'Browse' option, you can do it. But if you edit through the 'Database' option, you can't. Does that make sense?

Certain feature interfaces are part of the category "browser". The admin area's database section doesn't use that utility.

The database area is good for editing individual records data, but for general maintennence you should try to get used to using the "browser" utility as it's really feature loaded :)

Hi,

As pugdog mentioned it's by design. When dealing with large directories, it is much easier to "pick" categories via the menu on the left then to generate select lists like you see in the Database menu.
