How to correct total links number?

I have 935 links in my system (confirmed by both counting categories & subcategories AND phpmyadmin), yet my main page every time I rebuild it says I have 2125 which is definitely not the case.

I've tried rebuilding the subcategories as well as the main categories and that hasn't changed it. I've also looked through my phpMyadmin to see if I could change it there, and I can't find it.

Any suggestions on how to correct the total links number?

You've got to do a rebuild tables (Database, and its at the bottom on your left menu).

Are you talking about something OTHER than the "Repair" section? (I've done those already)

Mmmm...odd. Do you have links outside of categories, or a category that doesn't have a father category (i.e a sub category, without a category where its being show)...I've had that before Crazy

No, but I did have some corruption and lost a lot of links that were deleted via phpmyadmin and NOT through the program itself. It actually happened around that time.

That sounds like your problem them. I thought that a repair tables picked up unmatched sub categories though Unsure

Maybe someone at GT could clarify.

There is something wrong in how it recalculates the number of links in subdirectories.

I've had that problem, especially with small numbers (where it's obvious!)

A category has 1 link, but 2 are shown.

A link is deleted, but it is still counted.

Also, UNVERIFIED links are counted!! That threw me for a loop for awhile!

All this is not fixed by repair/etc.

Something changed in the new release, but I'm not up to speed enough to start making guesses.
