Ok, many of the links in my directory are placed in a number of different categories. For example, look here: http://www.policy.ca/policy-directory/Policy_Organizations, I have a number of "Policy Organization" links in four different categories. As you can see it says there are 21 links in the Advocacy Groups Category. But when you select the Advocacy Groups category, you can see that their is only one link in the category, but it is in all 20 subcategories. So the link counts which was 21, is including the subcategories.

Is there a way to do a link count but not include the subcategories?

I'm still trying to figure out how this can be done.

The above example still works (except there are now more links in the Advocacy section of the directory), however, LinkSQL is still counting all the duplicate links in the sub-categories. Is there any way of counting the links in a certain category and not from the subcategories?

Try using the Direct_Links tag instead of the Number_of_Links tag.
