PageBuilder & PDF Files
Specifically for Yogi, or anyone else who knows...
I purchased the PageBuilder plugin, works fine,
Now, I would like to create a PDF file for each one of the Detailed Pages on my site, is this possible?
The way it looks is it creates the files in the template directory using templates created by the plugin.
How do I pull the detailed page information into the plugin?
Here is what I want to do:
http://View Detailed | http://Print Detailed | http://View Detailed in PDF

Suggestions?

You'll have to create a 'link' type page, and set 'File Type' to 'PDF'. A template is automatically created, and saved into the 'pagebuilder' template directory. This template is converted into a PDF file when you build your directory (or generated dynamically, when you view the page in dynamic mode).

On the template, all fields of the link are accessible.

PS: In order for this to work, you need to install HTMLDOC.

Understand that part, the question is does it create a pdf file for each one of the detailed pages under /Detailed directory, i.e. for each /Detailed/1.html, /Detailed/2.html, is there a corresponding /Detailed/1.pdf, /Detailed/2.pdf and so on??

Thanks,

You can chose where you want it built:

Build Directory: e.g. pdfs
Build Filename: eg. <%ID%>.pdf

will build a file for each link in the directory

<%build_root_url%>/pdfs

with the name

<%ID%>.pdf (e.g. 12345.pdf)

Hope this helps.

Finally got back around to trying to build the pdf pages, I set the page as described above, and when I build I get the following error:

Building link pages:

pdf (Unable to build link page}.
Filename should contain one of the following tags: and/or
Directory should contain one of the following tags: , ,

(Unable to build link page}.

Directory should contain one of the following tags: , ,

Is this a HTMLDOC problem??
Thanks,

Your filename should contain something like <%ID%> (e.g. <%ID%>.pdf), so that it can be unique. (There is a small bug that prevents the error message from printing correctly...)
