How about the ability to mark certain boards as all read. For example, I really don't look at the DBMan forums at all. I'd like to be able to mark all those forums as read so I don't get told that there are 75000 new posts for me to read.

hehehe, my idea was just to be able to choose in your preference (profile area) which forums to be able to see then you won't even have to see the whole area. 
I wonder if this might also decrease the time it takes the browser to spew out the pages ... ???

What is the use for such a feature? can't you just ignore the number? I do that all the time
(BTW there is no irony here, a lot of people requested this feature at wwwthreads and I never understood why it's so important)
