have installed the new upload mod but when I we add a record it creates the id plus extension ie 15.gif but the file in the upload directory is always 0 byte.

The upload dir is off my web dir.

What am I missing

Is the file you are uploading by any chance larger then the max. size specified? If so, the upload will not work.

But I think it does display an error message if that is the case.

Did you set your chmod to 777 for the upload directory?

As LoisC has mentioned make sure that your upload directory is CHMOD 777 and that it is also outside of your cgi-bin directory (create an upload directory where you upload your html pages). We could not get it to work as long as the upload directory was in the cgi-bin.

It's possible that your server doesn't have the CGI.pm module installed. That could cause the problem. I don't know what else it could be, though.
