Semi secure password mod...good or bad?

Semi secure password mod...good or bad?
Afternoon from the UK, it's wet and it's cold so no change there then Frown.

Has anyone implemented the semi secure mod? E.g. allow users to create their own passwords. I have already implemented the full secure mod but we are finding that the email of the password causes a delay in our process. We have a specialist database so are not too worried about dodgy email addresses and the like. We would still need some form of password lookup mod that works via email.
Anyone got a view good or bad?
Thanks,
Rob

Hi rcrossland,

Here in the uae we had the first rain in 19 months the other day. Must have come at least 50 drops per sqdm.

I've been searching the forum for "semi secure" because that sounds interesting, but I did not find anything. Can you point me in any direction?

Gosh, 19 months! We think it's summer if we go without rain for 19 minutes!!Smile

The mod I refer to is referenced on the unofficial FAQ, follow this link:-

and you'll see the information. Any thoughts on how you will use it?

Thanks!

It looks a bit easier to install than the complete mod. I need something where the users can retrieve or create new passwords themselves when they have forgotten the old ones (happens now and then). I'll try this mod out in a few days.

I have the full secure mod so it's a bit of a retro step for me. I'll have to work out what replaces what.
