Hello,
I would appreciate someone assisting me by clarifying a few things for me relating to the database and the viewing of it.
I would like for owner to have admin rights. The employees registered user rights and the world viewing rights
It is necessary that the admin and employees see all fields when adding, viewing, modifying and deleting records.
But at the same time, I want the world to only view the non-hidden fields when searching the database.
I am very much confused right now as to how I can accomplish this. I thought I had it straight in my head, but I have proven myself wrong. If I set the hidden fields to -1 in the .cfg file, then they are hidden in the forms: add, view, modify, delete. Yet, if I un-hide them, then of course all fields show in each form respectively.
I have searched the forum for similiar questions. Will I have to install the: Add Permission module to accomplish this?
I have hovered over this particular question, by reading, searching, etc. I truly do not understand. Your help would be greatly appreciate.
Best Regards,
