Hey,

This is what I'd love: When a person was adding a record, they could as part of the form fill in the name and e-mail of a friend that they wanted to refer. Then a message would be sent to that friend, telling them of the referring web site.

Any ideas on how to?

It would just be a slight variation of the "Forward Record" mod (http://www.jpdeni.com/...Mods/send_record.txt). You'd just need to change the text in the $in{'emailmessage'} variable. And you wouldn't have to look up a record first.

Thanks for the pointer BUT I have tried again and again to adapt the mod, but to no avail.

If someone could show me exactly how to: (i know i'm asking for too much)
In the add form, the user will enter the e-mail address and name of a friend to refer.
The information from the form is used to send the e-mail to the friend
To: e-mail of friend
From: user's e-mail
Subject: Message from [name of user]
Message: [Friend's name], go to this site. From [User's name]

The user's name is filled in in the field 'name' , their e-mail in 'e-mail'.
