Danish/scandinavien characterset - æ ø å
Can anyone help me?
When I do searces in DBMAN and it is involving æ/Æ ø/Ø å/Å (wich is these funny letters we use in Scandinavien!) - the search is case sentitive what ever I do.
For instance if i searc on "åse" i will not find the record "Åse".
if I serach on "ole" it ofcourse will find "Ole".
Does anyone know if there is an solution or a mod for this problem - I have tried to look the FAQs - but i dident seem to find anything.
By the way - what a great script DBMAN is - and what a great totutial JBDENI has made. When I have costumized/translated into danish/scandinavien - i will give You a link for it.

Best regards Gorm Friborg

In the FAQ noted below under the section "Syntax" there is a thread reference called "Substituting special characters"

I think this is exactly what you are looking for Smile
