BOLD and Italics
Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of a way that text can be bolded or italicized by pushing a button just like can be done on Word? I am just trying to make it simple for a client of mine be able to be able to bold text without him having to add html tags to the text.

If you wanted to bold an entire "field" you could add a checkbox to do that, but I don't think that is what you mean.

I am thinking you want to be able to bold some words within a text box, which would probably require javascript or some other browser based function.

I made this template and used the same javascript within an add form on a dbman database- it works fine. You can use my source code- the original source code is from internet.javascript.com, but I can't remember which script. Just click on "bold" and then enter whatever text you want to be bold. I would think you could modify for your purposes.
