Flight Schedule Database
I am trying to figure out how to create a flight schedule database using DBMan. I have searched the Internet far and wide, and it looks like I will have to create my own. I am trying to build a database like Southwest Airlines has on their site http://www.southwest.com/cgi-bin/requestSchedule. If someone could please help me in leading me to how I can add some mods, or adjust the script to accomodate my goal. Thank you.

The only database I can remember being discussed that was close to what you want to do was for a reservation database for I think vacation rentals.

You might want to search the forum for "reservation" or "rentals" or even "availability".

Hope this helps

Thank you for the reply. I will search and see what I come up with. I'm thinking that it also might be part of a search query for a flat-file DB. I should be able to modify the script enough to do the job. Found a couple of mods that will help me out. Thanks again!

If you check out http://www.atlanticskies.com/, you will see that they keep all of their pilots and flights in a flat-file DB. You might want to ask the Webmaster of that site how he made it work.

Adam,
Thank you very much for the info. Their setup is pretty close to what I am looking for. I saw you were a member there. Great to see someone who is also a member of the Flight Sim community! Happy contrails!

I wanted to thank the both of you for your help. After many hours, I have fully customized the script to the look I have been wanting. If you go to Southwest Airlines website and you do a flight schedule request, I have customized the DBMAN script to output exactly what Southwest has. Very professional looking. I have posted a screenshot of the output of a search so you can see how it turned out. http://www.virtualswa.com/schedule.jpg

Hi Shawn,

Finally a big relief for me to see , someone is trying to make a flight schedule search script out of dbman. I was work on the flight schedule script with dbman for a long long time. My script is partly complete as well. I was your script as well. My and your script is quite similar.

But I would like to ask you something. Have you tried a two way search. I am a return search. I am working on it for a long time but unable to do it. Can you help me with any particular solution.

I hope you will reply back to this mail.

bye

Sandeep.
