If I do the actions to set up the file-upload MOD, the database stops working and it doesn't debug even if I set the variable to "1".
I've checked the file permissions, the type of upload....but nothing.

I would recommend reading the MANY File Upload Threads in this forum to see if others have experienced the same problem you have.
