DB man like Access Counter & Logger
I know this is possible, and i know that this script would be the best script for page accesses...

What am I talking about !? Parse all the variables and put then in database. This way no more stupid *.log files wich could grow to really big...

You parse browser, refferer (only in the refferer is new it should be put in database, if old reffrer=reffrer+1), domains, OS, resolution, java, javascript and it couls ofcourse count visits...

Fast likie light (because there is no need to parse prerecorded logs) and small like nowhere...

Alex, what do you think ?

You'd probably be better off with a real access counter. It would be much quicker as it doesn't have the overhead DBMan does. You can find a nice one at:

Called Axs I believe.

Cheers,

Alex

I've been using that for site logging for over a year now. I would recommend it to anyone. It is totally customizeable to tell you a whole bunch of stuff about your visitors.

I know a lot of good logging scripts, but that's the main problem... They're all using LOG file, wich can grow far to big (I have more than 3000 daily hits).

But, if you use database, the dbase will grow only tnx to differences between the refferes...

check www.thecouner.com - they use this system. This is what I ment...
