Where can I learn PERL?
I can setup premade CGI scripts to run, but I'd like to learn to write my own. Can anyone give me some direction?

This has been discussed before in this forum in Topics where people have provided links to online tutorials and also references.

Search this forum for Learn Perl.

I searched and found that you recommended a book called "Advanced Perl Programming". Is this book good for someone who is a novice when working with PERL? Are there any good online tutorials? Thanks for the help.

No!

That is for advanced programmers as the title should speak for itself. Wink

There are other Topics...keep looking or search perl.com for suggestions.

Some of the guru's in c.l.p.m. have recommended http://www.netcat.co.uk/...rl/win32perltut.html . I've never really looked much at it. Just skimmed it, so I don't know how good it is. Looks decent though.

I used that book at my old job...Very helpful for getting Perl scripts to execute properly in Windows servers, like NT.
