how do I use ssl in apache server
Hi all,

I've got an assignment from my uni, it need to setup a webserver with SSL connection.

I would like to know is someone has experienced in using SSL connection in apache2??

I tried to reconfigure my server to enable mod_ssl.c by using parameter :

"--enable-ssl", and what should I do next??

I heard about openSSL and modSSL, what actually the difference between both of them? and how do I configure so that my transaction in specific directory is secure enough (using secure layer). => I also heard to make certificate and also generate a key, hm.... how do I do it too ??

if you know a good step-by-step URL, please let me know so that I know the best way to do it one by one...

thank you in advance

Apache2 comes with SSL bundled with it, you no longer need to go out and download mod_ssl seperately. Have a read through:

http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/

Cheers,

Alex
