For my work's IP address, it worked well down to a 30 mile radius, yeah. But that's not suprising as the name of my hometown would be revelaed on any reverse look up on my work IP. They all end with .aber.ac.uk.

But for my home connection it couldn't figure anything out. Not even the correct country.

Yep. That picked up on the correct details for my home account. Well, I gues it picked up on the IP netblock owner as being registered in London, but it didn't (or couldn't) home in on me personally.
