Google API and other Web Services
Anyone into web services? Heard about this:

http://www.google.com/apis/

"With the Google Web APIs service, software developers can query more than 2 billion web documents directly from their own computer programs. Google uses the SOAP and WSDL standards so a developer can program in his or her favorite environment - such as Java, Perl, or Visual Studio .NET."

Thanks for all the pointers.

Anyone want to see the Google API in action with Links SQL? Well, here you go.

I'm using SOAP::Lite and a modified version of Rael Dornfest's example.

Cool

Hi John,

It look great! I was wondering that if your server has Web Service. Supposed a service called getCoolLinks.

Thanks

Thanks.

What would getCoolLinks do? (does Google have "Cool links"?). getCoolLinks is not in the WSDL-file.

With SOAP::Lite, it seems that any LAMP-server can run Web Services.
