I'm sure that everyone from you guys used some kind of file compression utility before like Zip or Tar.
Does anybody knows if there is any file compression utility that can compressed already compressed files like jpeg or mpeg by 80% or 90%?

Hi,

You won't see 80-90% compression on jpeg or mpeg as they are already compressed formats. You can downgrade the quality using any number of image manipulation tools to reduce the size, but you won't get it with lossless compression like zip/gzip.

You might be able to get an extra 10-15% using bzip2 or something similiar.

Hi Alex!

This is what i thought. I know that jpegs are not compressed very well or not compressed at all. Well i hope somebody one day will create a compression utility that can do it. I think everybody will appiciate it.
