Cobalt...
Hi...I've just purchased myself a Cobalt server (yeah, I know they are not very good), but I needed another cheap server, and also I can test my plugins on it :p

I've got a slight problem though...I can't create new FTP users!

I'm a little lost as to how I create users, in a way that they can access only a specific domain (i.e. web mail logs etc).

Anyone else who has a Cobalt server got any ideas?

Are you using the cobalt 'webmin'? It's easy to add user with a ftp acces with the built in cobalt 'webmin' utility.

Webmin? I use this to get to the admin panel at the moment;

domain.com/admin

Yeah that's it. I don't have a raq anymore, (guess why) but you can add users to a given domain and then specify ftp or telnet rights and all kinds of other things (like an amount of mega, what ever....)

Ah well, I worked it out :) Got another 'problem' now...

I'm trying to grab all the content.rdf.u8.gz file from DMOZ, in an attempt to make my slice files etc again. The problem is, users are limited to 1000Mb, but I need at least 3Gb. Does anyone know where to configure this option?

Contact your host Andy that is what they are there for.

Did they not give you access to the RAQ control panel?

Eugh, never mind. Got it up to 3Gb...turned out it DOES let you do it in the admin panel...not sure why it wasn't letting me last time Unsure Oh, and they do give me access to the admin panel :)
