Hi I wonder how to keep the format such as bullet list when you store text in a table without storing the html code. I want some text to be displayed as bullet list or other formats, do I need to use some special tags to do this.

For example, in linksql links table's description column, there is a description as follows
1) xxx
2) xxx
3) xxx

It will dispalyed as this if just copy and paste into the input form: 1) xxx 2) xxx 3) xxx

So my question is how to keep text formated without using html code?
