Hi,

I'm trying to connect to my localhost (WinXP/MySQL 4 /Apache2) but can't get connected.

I keep getting the following error -

[simondb] ERROR 1045: Access denied for user: 'rharris@localhost' (Using password: YES)

I created the table and the user at the command prompt and have access there but not via Control Center.

Any ideas?

I don't know what the problem was but I re-installed (downgraded actually from 0.9.3 Beta to 0.8.2 Alpha) and it connects ok (and doesn't crash like version 0.9.3 did).

I'm now faced with another problem, it doesn't remember the connection details of my local server (my remote server details are fine). If I enter the details connect and disconnect (without refreshing) it will remember the details. If I refresh or don't hit the disconnect on shutdown it wipes all the local connection details.

Any ideas?

Two suggestions:

1) Make sure that you use the "Register Server" option to save your registration.

2) Try using the MACHINE NAME of your computer for the server registration.
