well, the weird weather is back. It is the 7th of June and it is snowing on the Coquihalla!!

And we have a Hail Storm going on here in Victoria!

I knew someone would ask.... its basically the main highway out of Vancouver going inland! It goes up through the rocky mountians. They have a live web cam where you can look at the road conditions (and laugh)... but for some strange reason the cam went down today???? Burried in snow???

side question:
what's this "halla" naming business in Canada? It's been so long that memory fails me but isn't their one called vanhalla in Toronto? The QEW was always a good chuckle .

QEW, I've been on it quite a few times while traveling up to the X.

Just could never figure out the reasoning 1.) why name a road that seems to run up from Buffalo to Toronto (of course it probably starts somewhere else and ends some where else too but ... hehehe) after the Queen and 2.) why a "way" ?

but then again ... QEW is short and simple

I'm a border boy and still hold special affinity for Canada, so at most I'm just joking.

yeh the QEW isn't exactly a way...heh I think that they should add a new lane every year to that damn thing it's always packed. There is the canadian government for yah.

Man but why am i complaining about ontario, BC is the province that is fucked up now...its like deja vu but in a different place eh...we went through the same thing here in ON Ian Unsure.

I guess I've been away from Canada too long.

The QEW used to be simple 2-3 hour drive up to Toronto. oh well ... LA isn't doing much better with 7 lanes a piece in certain places. 7 lanes are bit much to transverse from 1 side to the other.

i still think the most retarded thing you can see is one side of the road with like 4 or 5 lanes and the other with like 2...did they not think it throught that people use the same road to get back?

Japan loves to allow passing on complete blind curves. I watch the dotted line and then look ahead and see a moutain blocking my view but ... passing is ok.

Most of the 'non-Canadianized' orientals in Canada are horrible drivers...

One almost ran me over in the parking lot when he was backing up...I banged really hard on the back of his trunk to get him to stop and this old chinese driver turns around and what does the fool do?

He WAVES as if he is saying "Hi, how are yah?"

LOl...we got our fair share of crap drivers over here too Wink I was doing a turn ut of a junction right next to a train cross-road...some idiot thought it would be great if he and his mates went over this crossing at about 40mph! Then, whewn he saw me pulling out he slammed on his break and hooted his horn at me. mean..WHAT THE HELL WAS HE ON? He was doing 40, in a 30 limit over a cross-road!
