"You should not have copied everything from luna_core.css into luna.css. Everything from luna_core.css is AUTOMATICALLY loaded into luna.css. All you have to do is add the code that you want to change... "
The problem I ran into, though, is that I don't know what all these codes are and it was only by trial and error that I got anything to look the way I wanted. Unfortunately, by the time that inefficient and time-wasting process was over, and then still needing to change other things, I had no idea what I had already copied over and what I didn't and so on. The only way I could figure out to make sure I wasn't pasting in something I already had in there was to simply put the whole CSS sheet into Luna and go from there.
From a customer perspective, I think that whole CSS process the way it is in there now could be very much improved upon. I love the software, but I think it could be made much more user friendly for novices/non-coders like me. At the least, perhaps made a bit more clear before the purchase is made (it's not exactly inexpensive) that a programmer or coder is necessary to actually get it customized and that the expense doesn't end with the purchase. If my organization had the money to hire someone, we would in a heartbeat because this has been very frustrating for me. Unfortunately, we don't so I'm sacrificing my sanity for the benefit of our members, LOL.
So that's why I had to do that. But I digress (again).
