What version of Gossamer Mail are you using? Also:

GT::Mail::POP3 (5774): --> DELE 1 at /home/sites/site13/web/cgi-bin/webmail/admin/GT/Mail/POP3.pm line 155.
GT::Mail::POP3 (5774): Unble to read from socket, reason (Broken pipe). Read: ([undefined]) at /home/sites/site13/web/cgi-bin/webmail/batch/incoming.pl line 387.

Seems to indicate your pop server is exiting when it tries to delete a message. You could test this by telneting to port 110 and trying to delete the first message manually and see what happens. Your POP server error logs might contain some useful information as well.
