Pertaining to the BACKUP directory, i have a couple of quick questions:

#1 I seem to have like 2 months worth of backups.. Do i have to manually go into this directory every now & then and delete old backups?

#2 Is there something you can set or a mod you can install to set it to store only so many days worth of backups?

We arranged with our hosting service to set up a cron job to delete the files every week, as well as using a cron job to build the site every nite just after midnite.

Links will keep accumulating backup files unless you manually delete them. I do this every few weeks -- takes less than a minute. Optionally, you can use the cronjob method (located in the resource center) of building remotely via telnet, which also includes code for deleting the previous day's backup before creating a new one. I like to keep several backup files, in case one gets corrupted before I catch it...

I believe Links SQL keeps 7 days worth of backups, but I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet.

I use a shell file similar to the one in the Resource Center to delete the tar.gz file that includes all the data files on a daily basis.
