my G-Links website is currently running under the URL http://domain.com/directory/pages
Is there a chance to change the full website to URL http://domain.com/pages or just URL http://domain.com

is it a big effort to do such a change ?

That would be just changing the build paths (assuming you're building static pages). Remember to set up the proper rewrite rules to redirect everything to the new url so you keep your search engine links.

If you're running dynamically, then you probably have some rewrite rules handling all the redirection. You need to update that. You'll also need to update the urls in the admin panel.
