How can I add password protection feature into "modify a resource" page to stop people modifying someone links?

I wrritten a mod for this awhille ago http://www.net-freebies.com/joey/ppro It was wrritten for Links 1.1 but just change the top part to match for 2.0, Im redoing the the design, so it might look kinda funny when you read it,
