Any one know what might cause this myisamchk -ofe error.

Found block that points outside data file at 376

I've been getting these a lot on various tables on my win box. The only way to fix it is to recreate the table. Searched google, found similar problem but no real answer.

Hi,

Are you running myisamchk with MySQL still running? If so, don't do that. =)

Also, may want to check and make sure your drive doesn't have any bad blocks or bad sectors if this is happening often.

I learned a long time ago not to run myisamchk with MySQL running, so it's not that. My drive is also fine.
I did run across others that had the same problem when doing a Google search but no one knew the cause.
I do abuse my tables quite a lot when testing so it's no wonder they break from time to time.
Would be nice to know the cause of the errors though.
