Moving to a new Host - How to move DBMan
Hi.

As the subject states, can anyone help in telling me what the steps involved would be?

TIA

The only changes you may have to make would be

1) the path to perl on the new server.
2) change the url within the .cfg file (i.e. $db_dir_url)

3) In some cases the new server may encrypt the passwords differently so that may cause problems with the password file. I've not had this problem moving to different servers, but it's possible.

If so, the FAQ provides a solution under the section
Admin/Passwords in a thread called:

"Password file corrupted after server change"

Hi Lois.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry it's taken so long for me to respond. Preparations to move from one Host to another have me overwhelmed.

So, I think I posted the original question in the wrong Forum <|:-(

This is a MySql DbMan. I'll re-post just to be on the safe side.
