all caps .extensions force my browser to download the file ... ughhhh ....

Quick fix instructions:

On line 499 of GForum/Post/View.pm, put "lc " in front of $attachment->{postatt_filename}.

It becomes: ...->guess_type (lc $attachment->{postatt_filename});

I'm confused, I have to download every attachment, regardless of file name case. Do attachments open in a new browser session (or associated application) for you normally?

Could this be a Win2K or NT server difference?

I believe that it's just a simple change of your browser settings. I'm a Mac nut so ... but anyway ...
in your settings ?? you should be able to access your browser's file helpers ... within their is a list of all kinds of apps that can do what not.

Hopefully a windoze user will stop by and provide better instructions on how to do this.
