Is there a way to hack Pugdog's detailed_page.cgi plugin to allow to display arbitary new templates as output rather than the default detailed.html one?

So, for example if I wanted to created a template called pinkbackground.html and redbackground.html, and then call them from pinkdynamicpage.cgi and redbackground.html respectively, this script would achieve it.

I had a good look, but I can't get head around all that complex logic.

Any advice or help would be much appreciated.

I have no idea what you are trying to do, but all the script does is display a page. To get it to change the page you want to display, change the passed template from 'detailed' to whatever.

Also, page.cgi will display any page passed to it.

It actually sounds like what you want to do is use the t= (template) option of page.cgi.

You're very right. I do wish to display detail_page onlyu using a different template, parsed etc. How do I change the parsed template in detail_page.cgi? I can't find the reference.
