URLs don't show in search results anymore.

URLs don't show in search results anymore.
I noticed that since my Links SQL version has been upgraded, the URLs don't show up in the search results anymore. Is there an easy fix for this?

Add weight values to your columns in the Links table and then re-index your Links table.

Actually, the URL column already has a search weight of 1, so it should be working. I remember this happening with an earlier version of Links and it was a problem with the search.cgi script itself...

Still,

1) resync your Links and Category tables.
2) Repair tables
3) re-index search

That should fix up any problems that are potentially fixable.

How do I resync the links and category tables? I have never even seen that before.

Finally found it, searched for about 15 minutes through old messages. If anyone else has this problem, go to the database section, link properties, then resync should be at the bottom.

The bad news, as I suspected, this did not solve the problem of the URLs not showing up in the searches. =(

Thx

Reindex and repair as Pugdog and Eliot said.

I have already done that, give me some credit. =) This has happened before in the past, and it was a problem that resyncing, reindexing and repairing wouldn't fix. I actually had to get a new copy of search.cgi installed to solve the problem. I don't know if this is the "exact" same problem, but it isn't working. What is strange is that I have the latest distribution of Links SQL2. I have tried restoring search.cgi with my older copy and this didn't work either.

I just looked at the first 400 terms in the keyword list with MySQLMan, and there isn't a single URL listed, so the URLs don't even appear to be getting indexed at all, even though I have done all the above, and the weighting for the URLs is set to one.

Any ideas?
