Error: ioctl: - when setting up incoming mail
I am getting the following error when trying to set up incoming mail via shared POP3 on my local PC:

Error: ioctl: The system detected an invalid pointer address in attempting
to use a pointer argument in a call at
/path/to/gmail/admin/GT/Socket/Client.pm line 167.

Any clues as to what may be causing the problem?
