You can't do it. The install.cgi/install.dat scripts would both need to be on SERVER1 in order to upgrade Links SQL on SERVER1. If you are installing on SERVER2 then do a fresh install. Then when you get to the SQL configuration page just enter the hostname of SERVER3.
