Mass Mail defects

Hello,

config: Links SQL 2.1.1 german version
on shared hosting webspace

Strange: the single mail functions as add-, modify- and password-statements work fine, but all mass mail functions as newsletter don't work.
The mass mailings seem to start. But they don't really go. And there is no error message.

Has anybody an idea, what's wrong?
A matter of provider?
