Alex,
I saw several intentions to integrate some GT products into one product, like LSQL - GForum integration. IMHO there is a demand for this. Basically LSQL, GForum, GMail, DBManSQL are those current products that may be integrated.
You stated, that you want to keep GCommunity as an authorization-only application, which integrates all GT product autorizations.
Therefore what I suggest, is a new module (with an easy API) into GT module collection, to be able to cross-access all GT application tables, main config files, plugin config files, hooks, modules, plugins.
The Module could be named GT::Integrate or GT::Apps, with submodules, like GT::Integrate::LinksSQL, GT::Integrate::GForum, etc...
I know Community::Apps::Local::LinksSQL, etc., are something similar, however they provides API to access to user tables only.
Well, if all is going well, cross-access integration could be available through GCommunity & Local/Remote apps. Even if there is no API at the moment, I think the other features can be still accessed using GT modules.
I just would like to know, how you think about this? Do you plan to provide cross-access integration officially through GCommunity module or GT module...?
Best regards,
