I installed file man and I pass protected my directories in the script not realizing that it would really pw protect them to browsers also. So I deleted the script and it's files because I didn't want the passwords. I also deleted the password files. Well it screwed it all up. Now when I try to access anything out of my directory that is web read able's except my root web directory, I cannot execute them because the browser keeps asking for a password. I tried more than once trying to use the passwords I had set but I cannot get it to work, and my hosting is kindof scratching their heads also.

Please Help me.

Hi,

Use your ftp program to ftp into your site and go to the directory that you password protected. Look for a file called ".htaccess" and rename it to something else. That should remove the password protection.
