FM2-Installation: Cache problems?
Hi all!

I've used fileman 1.0 (multi-user) for the last two years, because I believe this is a very good product.

So I was surprised about the new version 2.0. For testing purpose I did a testinstallation on the same server I've using FM1, only a different folder.

Then I hit the Installation 'new' button and created everything. That works very well. Then I've entered with my admin-user into the fileman.cgi created a normal user, who can upload files into a directory (with IE 6, I had some JS-Errors, but I just disabled this messages).

After this I try to use this normal user with a new browser window (NS 6.1) and just entered trough the login page. I've just receive a window with 3 parts, top and bottom are blank.

So I checked the installation again on my local win32 enviroment, everything works okay. The only different between my local installation and the remote installation are cache-engines between (my isp uses serval from compaq).

So I try http://www.ircache.net/cgi-bin/cacheability.py to see if this files have been set-up correctly for caches. See yourself.

So see what's wrong, you can temporarly use the following url/user/pass:

URL: http://www.dmozed.org/cgi-bin/editor/fileman.cgi (test inst., original is other path)
USER: albinfo
PASS: test

Please try it. Maybee there is a simple solution on this?!

Cheers

Marco

Hi Marco,

You have to move the image, *.js, *.css files outside cgi folder, after that change the html_root_url in ConfigData.pm (by Paths & URLs in Admin panel) which should be the URL to where your public those files above are.
