Can not change mode
Dear Forum,

I'm trying to chmod the global.txt file and I'm getting a Can not change mode error in fileman. How can I fix that? 0644

Thanks,

Marcus

Hi Marcus,

Does the global.txt belong to the same user(owner) of webserver (apache or nobody ...)?. Assuming that you installed the script from a shell user (not from web browser), so with 0644 attribute Fileman (web user) can't change mode for that file. You need to chmod that file to 666 from your shell user for it to be accessible by the Fileman (write, chmod ..)

Cheers,

Hi,

The global.txt belongs to me and I tried 666 via FileMan on a copy of global.txt that has different ownership and the 666 worked on that file too. Wink

Thanks,

Marcus
