I have installed everything ok on my NT server, and search and all working ok.. but when as admin in admin.cgi I try to add a link and submit the new additions it says successfull but is giving screen with blank lines not the details that I have entered therefore not including the link that I have tried to add...

Hope I have managed to explain myself.. if I could just sort this, I think everything will be ok. thanks.

BTW I can not create categories either...

but I can add links as a user if it helps at all..

The problems you are experiencing probably deal with wrong directory and file permissions for your data directory and files in it.
