Password Protect Admin Directory
My site is hosted on an NT server. I do not have direct access to that server. What is the best (and easiest) way to implement some sort of password protection on the /admin directory? The solution needs to not involve my hosting company, they are not cooperative.

There is a mod to Links that will password protect your admin.cgi, unfortunately, I don't know the URL to the mod. I would recommend that you choose a directory name that only you know to hold your administration scripts and data. Make it something that only you can remember and put a few numbers in it.

As for password protecting the directory, that is something that would have to either be done within Explorer or the Internet Services Manager (both of which would require either physical access to the server or the network that the server is on).
