I am preparing to install Links on an NT machine. But, first my network administrator was wanting me to find out if Links was originally intended/written for NT or UNIX. He states that a Unix version may not run properly on our system.

Could anyone answer this for me and provide any advice?

links will run fine on NT. it really doesn't matter these days whether it was intended for Unix or NT because all perl scripts can effectively run on NT provided you have the latest perl build.
